The Fifth Regiment's civilians are highly regarded within the Army of Northern Virginia's (ANV) and civilian reenactment community for their organization, participation and authenticity.  The regiment's civilians are made up of men, women and children.  Their historical knowledge ranges from new civilian reenactors who are beginning their civilian reenactment journey, to accomplished historians.  Our civilian groups participate in various event activities such as providing period fashion shows, giving school presentations, providing back drop for movie sets, giving lectures on various civilian topics and supporting the Fifth Regiment soldiers after battles.  At this time, we have civilian reenactors portraying many occupations, including refugees, nurse, cooks and schoolteacher.  Whether you are interested in supporting our military members, or providing your own civilian impression, we can help you get involved in the fun of the reenactment hobby.

Area of Recruiting: Our civilians are members of the existing companies of the regiment. Our companies come from as far north as Maine and as far south as southern Virginia.
